~Winter's Eve~

Its been 6 months since the war with the Elesion Kingdom ended, and Kyrie's brother has returned to his former calm and compassionate self. The elder has been killed by a different kingdom out of hatred. Within Kyoto, it was for the most part quiet and peaceful. However at the Kara Estates, noises and yells could be heard throughout the palace. For in a couple days time, the Queen to be was getting married. Kaira had hid from the maids, since she had grown tired of all the noise and business of the palace. She sat quietly with her back against the wall at the highest place in the palace. She was sleeping peacefully, the gentle wind blew through. Making her hair flow with the wind. Kyrie help make the preparations for the wedding knowing Kaira was tired. Out of the blue he started laughing. Zena and Raiki looked at him.

"Eleison-sama, what is so funny?" Raiki asked confused. Kyrie stopped his laughter slowly.

"Kairu's most likely hiding right now." Raiki and Zena looked at each other and Raiki snapped his fingers.

"Thats where she is." Zena sighed, and looked up.

"She's going to catch a cold. It's the beginning of winter. She's crazy sitting up there without a jacket." Raiki looked at Zena, who nodded. "Eleison-sama, we'll finish the rest. You go see Kaira-sama." Kyrie looked uncertain, but with the push of Raiki, he gave in.

"Alright, just if you guys real..." Zena cut him off.

"Come on Eleison-sama." Kyrie got the hint and waved as he left. Bringing a blanket with him as he went up to Kaira. When he got there he saw Kaira's serene face and had an urge to kiss her, but instead gently wrapped her in the blanket and carefully picked her up. Kaira moved her face toward Kyrie's chest without waking up. He slowly walked back toward her room. He closed the door with his feet. Walked over to her bed and tucked her in. As he was about to leave, a hand grabbed his wrist and pulled him down onto the bed. A quiet ah escaped his mouth. Kaira's eyes were slightly opened.

"Stay, please." Kyrie sighed but accepted. He made himself comfortable and hugged her as she slept. After awhile his eyes slowly closed and the two of them fell into a peaceful slumber.

Disagreement

The nurses were talking about Kyrie's condition and how amazingly cute he is. When the Head Nurse is confronted by the Elder, they all stop immediately and watched with worried eyes.

"Head Nurse. From what I understand, he has been like that for more than 3 days." The Elder stated.

"That's right, Elder-san. Is there something the matter?" The Head Nurse asked, not completely worried but worried nonetheless.

"Yes. I think the Princess is making her worst mistake on having this man here in the palace. I would have him disposed of. However, she has more power than me here in the palace." The Elder said with disgust and left. After he was out of sight, the Head Nurse said:

"I hate that man. Who does he think he is? The powerful Emperor that rules without mercy over his subjects. He disgusts me to no end. If I could I would dissect him, and burn his heart of ice." The others nurses all agreed with the Head Nurse. "Now one of you, please go and tell Kara-sama of this development." One of the nurses nodded and disappeared.

~Somewhere else in the palace.

"Kara-sama! Kara-sama!..." the nurse ran into Zena and Raiki. "Oh Zena-sama, Raiki-sama! Have you seen Kara-sama? I have a message from the Head Nurse on a development." Zena and Raiki looked at each other and sighed.

"Yes, we have seen her. We were just about to head over there. Come along and tell the two of us what this development is." Raiki said tiredly. The nurse noticed that both Zena-sama and Raiki-sama looked exhausted. As they walked the nurse told them about what happened.

"Damn that Elder. Seriously I'm about ready to ask our enemies to go an assassinate him." Zena said fustrated.

"Zena, I would too, but we can't do that." Raiki said with a sad smile.

"Well, I would want that too." a voice behind them chuckled lightly. The three of them spinned around to find Kaira looking at them with a small smile on.

"Kaira! Kara-sama!" The three of them said quickly. Kaira looked at them highly amused.

"So the Elder wants to play with me, huh. He won't last long. Isn't that right Shiroi?" the little wolf that was next to Kaira looked up at her.

"Yes, noone lasts long when you have that murderous smile on. Last time, you nearly killed the assassin that was after you head. Seriously if it wasn't for Raiki you would have killed the poor assassin." Shiroi answered.

"Kaira, you wouldn't say that unless there was a reason. So..." Zena couldn't finish because Shiroi interupted.

"That's because, the Elder was siding with Eleison-san's little brother, Shirouku. Lucky for us, I've seen them talking with each other yesterday. It's a pity that he betrayed us. Now he will face the consequnces of betraying my mistress. heehee." Shiroi laughed evily.

"You may return to your dutys." Kaira directed to the nurse, who nodded and bowed. "Now we can wage war against a man who doesn't deserve to live. Come. We get rid of him today.Shiroi please go tell the head nurse of the preparations needed for that curse."

"Of course, Kairu-sama. It shall be done." Shiroi whisked out of sight quickly.

Pain

"What's the problem?"

"Eleison-sama, seems to be gaining a really high fever and he's been.." a scream was heard throughout the hallway. We rushed into the room only to see Kyrie throwing up blood over the side of the bed. The person who screamed was a nurse that happened to be in the room. Guess she never saw that much blood before. I ran up to him and put one of my hands on his back and another over his heart.

"Eleison, you need to slowly breath. I can't stop the bleeding if you breath that heavy." He grabbed my arm for support and tried to slowly calm his breathing. He managed to stop throwing up his own blood but his breathing was labored and his eyes showed that he was very tired. "Are you alright?" he slowly nodded. "Zena get a bowl of cold water and a towel, Raiki go the medicine cabinet and get me the one with the blue star on it's cap, and after that please help me by cleaning up the blood on the floor...."

"Yes m'lady" They both replied quickly. I turned my attention back to Kyrie who was still holding my arm. I sat down next to him. After awhile he suddenly leaned his body on mine, a little shocked I looked over at him and saw that he was asleep. Raiki came back and looked at the scene. "uhh... m'lady here's the medicine."

"Thank you Raiki. Just leave it on the table and start on that puddle of blood that's laying a feet away from me."

"Yes ma'am." Zena came in with a suprised face and chucked a little.

"That is actually cute, m'lady."

"Oh Zena, stop it!"

"Of course. Here how about we let him lay down, and wipe the sweat off of his face and call it a day. It's getting late. Of course we also need to eat dinner and all." Zena said with a smile on.

"I guess we should do that. I want an update on his condition if anything happens. Do you guys understand me?" I asked to my nurses.

"Yes m'lady" they replied. As I walked towards my office to finish some paper work, I see Shiroi waiting for me at my door.(A/N: Shiroi is a wolf)

"Shiroi? What's the matter?" I asked worriedly. She lifts her head and looks at me.

"We need to talk Kairu-sama." I look into her eyes and it showed how serious this must be considering her glint that was in her eyes.

"Sure, in my office for privacy." As I sat down behind my desk, Shiroi jump onto the chair in front of me. "What do you need to talk to me about?"

"That man has a curse on his back. Are you aware of it?"

"Yes. I have been for awhile. Have you got information on it?"

"Not enough to undo it. However, it seems that it was given to him by his younger brother."

"You mean that man who tried to kidnap me?"

"Yes Kairu-sama."

"Shiroi, please find more information on this." I asked quietly.

"Kairu, I sense your worry and I agree with you. I will find more. It will take time." Shiroi got off the chair and slowly disappeared from the room.

Past Haunts

"That's not the problem at the moment. The problem is that the injuries are not temporary. It will return. If you didn't see it Zena, there is a curse on him. It covers most of his back. However, I'm at a complete lost on how to help him."

"M'lady, as much as I'm also concerned, we are needed at the meeting with the others at the moment."

"I know, shall we go?"

"Yes, m'lady."

~At the meeting~

"Shikon-sama! I hope you are not hurt?" A man asked worriedly.

"Of course not Raiki. I don't plan to get hurt in the near future either."

"I understand. Now on to more pressing matters. Our spies have informed me of an attack in the western region of our land and wishes to have backup."

"I see. Send 13 squads to help them. I hear there is going to be a meeting with the other rulers soon. Zena do you have a general idea of when that meeting will be?"

"Yes m'lady, it will be in 10 days from now."

"Thank you Zena. Anything else of pressing matters that need to be attended to?"

"None Princess."

"What will you do with the man that you brought back Princess?"

"What do you mean what will I do?" I questioned.

"That man could be a danger to this country Princess."

"What are you talking about Elder? You haven't even met the boy."

"Disrespect will get you nowhere Zena-san."

"ENOUGH!! Elder you need not worry about what I do with my guests. Now since there isn't anything else that needs my utmost attention, this meeting is dismissed." I stood and left the room and walked very angry to my office. "Urgh I hate that Elder. Who does he think he is?"

"Kaira-sama?"

"Raiki, Zena come with me to see the man that is here in the palace." I slowed down my pace and walked quietly towards the room that the man layed in.

Kyrie's breath was heavy. He was sweating, and muttering small words under his breath. In Kyrie's mind:

He was standing in his house staring at the blood that was all over the floor. His blood ran cold with what came up next. His brother stood there and slowly looked into his eyes.

"You can't run Aniki. Your going to be trap within my curse forever."

"Shirouku!!!!!!!!!"

Outside of Kyrie's mind:

"Kara-sama! We got a problem!" a nurse came running up to me.

~Life, Love, and Problems~

Love is a mysterious thing. One can't describe love unless one experienced love.

At Kaira's estate- Some servants hurried to the room where Kyrie laid in pain. One hurried to her lady's office.

"M'lady. The man you brought back is in need of your asstance." the servant said while bowing to me when I was sitting in my desk reading some papers. I stood up and hurried with the servant to Kyrie's room. As I walked into the door, Kyrie yelled in pain.

"Tie him down!" I yelled and walked over to the medicine cabinet to find out that the poision remover was out. "Please leave the room." The servants all left the room. I closed my eyes and put my glowing hands over his chest. It's a secret healing, only ones who every mastered it was my mother and my father and now me. The process of healing Kyrie took two hours. After two hours Zena came in just in time to keep me from falling to the ground.

"Kaira, please take it easy. It's not good for you to be feeling ill." Zena took me to the chair and looked at me.

"Oh Zena what should I do?"

"What do you mean m'lady?"

"His injuries.... sure I used it. But these injures seem to be much harder to cure."

"M'lady, as far as I'm concerned he is fine. He's stable and not dieing from blood lost or anything of the sort."
